In 2001 several of our members met and formed a committee for an annual ride for missing and exploited children. The first ride was planned for February 2002. The ride that year drew nearly 200 participants riding on 150 snowmobiles. Each rider was asked to gather pledges on behalf of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children - the New York Chapter. What a success! Participants raised over $15,000. With the success of the first ride, we knew we had a "winner" of an event. The next year we raised our goals even higher hoping to net $25,000 for the center and to break a guiness world record for longest moving snowmobile line. Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded! We raised over $37,000 and had well over 700 riders on 695 snowmobiles participate... shattering the old record of 307 riders. Each rider that year received an official certificate from Guinness World Records attesting to their participation in the ride. With that success accomplished the club settled down and focused on more traditional rides for the next five years. The rides continued and a total of $100,000.00 was raised for the New York Chapter of The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. In particular, the money went directly to the office located in Utica, NY. The money was used to distribute posters of missing/exploited children all over the country. Please enjoy the pictures of our rides over to the right. Who knows? You could be in one of them...
